I also took some creative liberties and made another mitt adding 8 rows of P1K1 ribbing in color B to the beginning. I like the length of this mitt better than the other mitts and absolutely love the way the pinkish part of the striping yarn turned out! I didn't make the second one yet because I got busy hanging out with hubby last night! But that will be one of my next projects. This pattern is actually done using straight needles! I always like have a straight-needle project going at the same time as a circular project.

My New Fingerless Mitts!
So I came across this post on DIY Maven's blog, and loved the look of her project! I've always wanted to make fingerless mitts myself! She got the pattern from LionBrand.com, so I followed her link and found the pattern! (Click on "link" if you'd like to see the pattern). I used Red Heart Stripes yarn in Sonoma Stripe as color A and Vanna's Choice in Barley for color B. And here's what I came up with! I like the one on the right hand better (although the left picture is better, haha) because of the way the striping yarn lined up. The solid greens, browns, and yellows really look excellent with the Barley color. On the mitt I have on my left hand the ugly white/brown part of the yarn took up like 1/2 of the mitt. I don't mind white or brown but I don't like that that part of the mitt isn't a solid color. The mitts somehow look better in real life than in the pictures though!
Love those colors!!
