Flake's Second Sweater

Well, I decided to make my own cat sweater pattern.  This sweater is knitted instead of crocheted like the one I made a few days ago using someone else's pattern.  The shape of this sweater is similar to the shape of his first one but it's ribbed and has different measurements.  I guess there aren't that many different shapes for a cat sweater if you aren't planning on making sleeves, anyway.  There needs to be a hole for the head and the hole for the front legs, which is about the extent of the design.  =)  The reason I made this one is that I wanted to have my own pattern.  I like being original in my work.  I also thought a knit sweater would be a more snug fit for a kitty, and it definitely is!  It's much more elastic than crochet, which is necessary if you have a kitty that's still growing like mine, or if you aren't sure about the size of the kitty you're making it for.  I am going to adjust the pattern here and there and then use it for the 3 cat sweaters I'm making for our friend.    If anyone would like a copy of my pattern I'll need to tweak it a bit, but feel free to ask.  I'll post it if there is any interest in it!

And yes, before anyone asks, Flake is a little angel.  He just relaxed in my arms and purred as I put the sweater on him, and then I posed him on his chair and he sat there and let me take pictures of him.  He is the most laid back, relaxed cat I've ever seen in my life.

Here's my little kitty model!  As you can see, he's pretty proud of his sweater!
