Mother's Day (Thank You Hubby!)

Today is Mother's Day and my husband gave me a great day.  He made me pancakes, sausage links, and blueberry muffins this morning and brought them to me in bed.  He took care of all the parenting duties, watched a movie with me during the little guy's nap, and let me take a 4 hour nap in the afternoon.  He woke me up from my nap for dinner and cake, both of which were yummy!

I know it's Mother's Day, not Father's Day, but I feel like I should give some big props to my husband Eric today.  After all- I couldn't be a Mommy without his help.  He gave me the most beautiful little boy and I'll be thankful to him for the rest of my life for that.  Every day he treats me and our son like royalty.  He has a great time with me and the little guy when we are at our best, and he is patient with both of us when we are at our worst.  He doesn't even raise his voice to us when he is upset, let alone scream and yell and throw a fit the way many people do.  He is not quick to anger, and it's an immense relief to have a husband with that type of personality.  I never have to "walk on egg shells" around him.  He does everything in his power every day to make me and our son as happy as possible.  I couldn't ask for any more from a husband.

Thank you Eric for helping me bring the most beautiful child into the world.  Thank you for being an amazing husband to me, and an even better father to our son.  Thank you for putting up with me when I'm grumpy, even though I wouldn't put up with me.  =)  Thank you for loving me.
