I finished my rainbow hat last night. I have 1 adjustment to make to the pattern. I need to add about 5 or 6 rows of the red. Surprise, surprise. How did I guess it would end up being a bit too short? It's long enough to wear and pull off, but I want it to be long enough to cover the ears really good so it will keep them warm! At least I know what I have to do to fix the pattern and the next one will almost certainly be a perfect fit! I'm also going to switch to stockinette stitch for the red section. It's a tad confusing to continue the k2p2 ribbing during a decrease. It looks a little messy. I think it would look great in stockinette stitch though.
Today my hubby and I are dropping the baby off at my mom's and going on a little date. Not sure exactly what we're doing yet, but it'll be fun! And Thursday is our 1 year wedding anniversary. Apparently he's planned a date for that day too. =) Can't wait to give him his present! He will love it SO much! I can't believe I've kept it a secret from him for this long (about 3 weeks). I dug out one of the hats I crocheted him before I knew how to knit. As soon as he put it on he started posing, waiting for me to take a picture. HAHA. I think he really wanted to make it into my blog. Today when we go out he'll be wearing this hat and I'll be wearing my Bella hat.
